When I made the decision to leave the established world of corporate packaging and start W.E.M, I did so with a single goal: to provide a more flexible, creative, and technical alternative for brands that refuse to settle for the status quo. Today marks a major milestone in that journey.
I am thrilled to announce the launch of our very first website!
Why Now?
For a long time, the packaging industry has been dominated by a few large players with rigid processes. As a startup, we’ve spent our early days focusing on the “work”—solving complex thermal challenges for food brands and engineering high-finish luxury boxes for boutique retailers.
But to truly serve our clients and showcase the “more interesting” range of materials and services we offer, we needed a digital home. This website isn’t just a brochure; it’s the official launchpad for our mission to bring agile, expert-led packaging to the UK market.
A Partnership in Design: Bubble Design
To build our first digital presence, we knew we couldn’t just use a generic template. We needed a site that reflected the same level of bespoke engineering that we provide for our own clients.
We partnered with Bubble Design to bring W.E.M to life online. As experts in high-end web development, the team at Bubble understood the balance we needed to strike—showcasing our technical “big industry” background while highlighting the speed and flexibility of a startup. They have created a platform that is as clean, precise, and professional as the packaging we produce.
Exploring the W.E.M Digital Experience
As this is our first site, we’ve built it to be a comprehensive resource for our partners. You can now explore:
Specialised Sectors: Dedicated sections for Food & Beverage and Luxury packaging, detailing how we solve industry-specific hurdles.
Our Full Capabilities: From the initial Brand Packaging Design and Rapid Prototyping to our “hands-off” Storage and Distribution services.
About W.E.M: More on my background and why we believe a startup approach is the future of the packaging industry.
Let’s Build Something Interesting
The launch of this website is just the beginning. At W.E.M, we thrive on the “difficult” projects—the ones that require custom die-cuts, innovative thermal liners, or unique tactile finishes.
I want to thank Bubble Design for helping us take this first step into the digital world. I invite you to take a look around, see what we’ve been working on, and get in touch to see how we can forge a better packaging solution for your brand.
Welcome to W.E.M Packaging. The doors are officially open.
